Interestingly, when looking over the quarantine measures God gave to the Israelites after leaving Egypt, I can find no mention of facial coverings. Paleogenetic studies have confirmed the existence of contagious diseases in mummies studied. Some of the diseases and causes are still present today. Did they contend with Coronaviruses and others that we have today? It would be very strange to suggest that the viruses of today are substantially different than the ones thousands of years ago. If they are not substantially different especially in their communication vectors, then why would God have remained silent on 'effective' facial covering of both the sick and the healthy?
